Privacy – Cancellation – Refund Policy

Collection of Data

As part of your membership and use of the Magnetix Matchmaking (“Magnetix”), Magnetix Dating Agency (“Magnetix”) Membership Services (“Magnetix Membership Services”), you will be asked to provide personal information to facilitate provision of our services. Magnetix respects the privacy of its members and does not collect information which may personally identify its members without its members’ express written permission. Personal and other information is collected during individual consultations and during the “after date member feedback sessions” which are a significant part of the Magnetix Membership Services experience.

In order to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of our members, the names of members under the Matchmaking Reviews page have been changed. All images displayed are not those of our clients and are not a representation of the number of member in our membership or client database.


Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

Magnetix does not sell, loan, assign or otherwise disclose a member’s personal information to third parties. In fact, with the exception of those circumstances set out below, Magnetix does not disclose personal information to anyone unless expressly authorized to do so by the client. However, there may be certain circumstances in which Magnetix is required to disclose client’s personal information. For example, Magnetix can be required to release client’s personal information where compelled to do so by competent governmental or judicial authorities, and may release such information to governmental authorities in order to protect the client, Magnetix, its employees or agents, or in the event of a merger or (subject to the execution of a confidentiality agreement) a sale or transfer of all or substantially all of the Magnetix business operations to another company or entity.


Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your membership and contract if the contract does not contain the information required by sections 19 and 23(2) of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act. To cancel your membership and contract, you must give notice of cancellation at the address in the contract. You must give notice of cancellation by a method that will allow you to prove that you gave notice, including registered mail, electronic mail or personal delivery. If you send the notice of cancellation by mail or electronic mail, it doesn’t matter if Magnetix receives the notice within the required period as long as you sent it within the required period.

Whether or not any introductions / matches results in a date and any dates result in a successful relationship before you have enjoyed the number of dates offered in your membership, you understand Magnetix is under no legal obligation to refund monies paid or to relieve you of your monetary obligations.
